Honour Comission

The Portuguese Sports and Youth Secretary, Dr. Laurentino José Monteiro de Castro Dias, accepted to be part the MTBO WOC/JWOC '10 Portugal Honour Commission.

He was born in Fafe (Braga) and he graduated in Law in Coimbra University.

The President of the Portuguese Olympic Committe (COP), Commander José Vicente Moura, is member of the MTBO WOC/JWOC '10 Portugal Honour Commission.

Mr. José Vicente Moura has been the COP's President for many years and will lead once more the portuguese mission in the Olympic Summer Games in Pequim 2008.

Dr. Carlos Paula Cardoso has been the President of the Portuguese Sport Confederation (PSC) President for several years. The PSC is a organisation that has as main goal to promote sport.

The President of the PSC accepted to be part of the this Honour Commission.

The President of Municipal Council of Montalegre, Fernando José Gomes Rodrigues, was born on 21 October 1953 in the village of Montalegre and is a retired teacher.

After his military service, he was honored by the Company Commander with a prize "for his ability to organize and work for their initiative and collaboration with the command ".

He is the author of the book "Barrosões", published in 2005.

João Gonçalves Martins Batista is the President of Municipal Council of Chaves and member of the MTBO WOC/JWOC '10 Portugal Honour Commission.

The President of Municipal Council of Boticas, Fernando Pereira Campos,  was born in Montalegre county in 1951.

Fernando is an Engineer, an elected member of the European Mountain and partner of the Portuguese Society of Forest Science.

Luís Bettencourt Sardinha, graduated and doctorate in Sport Science, is the President of the Portuguese Sport Institute. Besides this, he is a University professor, Scientific Chairman of the board of the FMH and previous Benfica’s volleyball coach.
